How to use these phrases

Talking about the weather is a great way to start a conversation in Chinese. In this lesson, you will learn words for sunny, rainy, cloudy, windy, and snowy. To ask "How is the weather?", say "天气怎么样？" (tiān qì zěn me yàng?). To answer, say "天气很..." followed by the weather word. For example, "天气很热" means "The weather is very hot". In Chinese culture, people often greet each other by asking "Have you eaten?" rather than talking about the weather. But weather words are still very useful! Look outside your window and describe the weather in Chinese!
